The Sierra Leone Islamic Center of Greensboro – Masjid An Noor was established in November 2017 as a not-for-profit organization to propagate Islam in the State of North Carolina and across the United States. The Masjid is a tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Service code 501(c)(3).
As the Sierra Leonean community in North Carolina has been growing rapidly over recent years, the Jamaat was established by a diverse group of Sierra Leoneans to promote Islamic and social awareness amongst all age groups, families, and the Muslim Ummah in general.
